We wanted to share a few foods and wine pairing ideas for our forthcoming “Sip with our Sommelier” session this April 11th at 6pm featuring M Cellars 2017 Pinot Gris and 2018 Dry Rose via Facebook Live on our M Cellars page.
Scott has provided some light Spring and Summer fare food pairing suggestions as a simple guideline to enhance your experience. We encourage everyone share their pairings with the group during the evening.
Pinot Gris
Cheeses include soft-creamy young selections like Brie, Gruyere’, Ricotta and Baby Swiss. Light salads with a selection of fresh fruits and herbs would work nicely. Pan seared fish, scallops, shrimp or herbed oven roasted chicken would be perfect. Lastly, a favorite with Pinot Gris is a simple and light Quiche.
Rose’
Rose’ pairs with a wide range of foods. Cheeses that are bit more assertive with higher acidity work best, including all types of goat cheese, both young or aged. Try a salad that includes a selection of olives and lightly cured meats. Barbecue grilled seafood and meats are an absolute perfect match.
